Price Drop Protector

Let me complain first. Who would think booking a car can give you extra money back for no work. I just wanted to book a car in Bangkok and then drive to Surat Thani. The trip is kind of long and I am not very used to Thailand, so I picked a Toyota Corolla with Budget through QEEQ. It was automatic and I felt it was a safe choice. In my head there was only one main question. Cheaper is always better but the price already looked okay so I was too lazy to keep comparing. Later I realized I was actually a bit worried about the price at the start. In my mind I kept asking myself. Should I wait. Should I check more sites. But I was afraid if I waited the good cars might be gone or the price might go up. So I just booked it. Then the funny part came after that. One day I was at work on a break and I suddenly got an email. My first thought was it was just some ad. I opened it and saw it was from them. It said because of Price Drop Protector the price of my booking went down. They already rebooked it for me and would give me back the price difference. In my head I only had one line. What do you mean, I made money while doing nothing. I checked the amount. It was a bit more than 11 euro. To be honest it is not a huge number. But in that moment I felt really happy. It was like when you pay in a supermarket and the cashier suddenly tells you there is a hidden discount. You did nothing extra and you still save some money. I also asked myself. If this service did not exist would I even know the price went down. The answer is no. There is no way I would check the same car price every day. The funny thing is I did not do any action in this whole thing. I did not message customer service or argue about the price. They just watched the price for me in the background and I only saw the final result. For a second I felt a bit proud, like I turned on some secret money saving mode. I also thought about my parents. If they booked a car they would never know about this kind of thing. They would just say the price is the price. Later when I talked with a friend I told him about it. He asked me how did you know the price dropped. I said I did not know. They checked it for me. He did not believe me at first so I showed him the email screenshot. I also told him the service is called Price Drop Protector. The name sounds a bit like a buff skill in a game. For someone like me who is too lazy to refresh prices every day it is really useful. When I think back to the moment I booked the car I was actually a little nervous. I was going to drive in Thailand, pick up the car around July sixth at noon in Bangkok and then return it around July thirteenth around midday in Surat Thani. For a visitor from Europe that feels a bit risky. The car must be reliable and the price cannot be crazy. I was already ready to just accept the price and stop thinking about it. Then this service suddenly saved me some money and I felt a clear little warm feeling in my heart. The weird thing is I am not the type who reads all the small rules of every discount. When I first saw this feature I did not think too much. I just thought if it is there then fine. When I really got the refund I started to think about the whole thing more carefully. I asked myself. If I book again in the future will I care about this feature. My answer is yes. For me it is something that might give me a nice surprise while I do nothing. When I was a student saving eleven euro could mean one good lunch. Even now it still feels nice. No one hates extra money. In this rental experience the car itself and the roads were all quite normal. The part that really stayed in my memory was this small story of the automatic refund. For me this kind of money saving that does not need extra work is much better than those complex coupon codes. At least for this booking QEEQ really made me feel like I earned something by surprise.

One-Dollar Freeze

I first只是 wanted to lock my plan but I did not want to put the full car rental amount on my credit card at once. I had a business trip to Bangkok and I needed a car to move around the city. I found a BYD Seal 05DM-i with DRIVE CAR RENTAL on QEEQ. It is automatic with four doors and five seats, pretty good for business use. I was still thinking about my budget and then I saw the option called One-Dollar Freeze. My first thought was “Is this real, I can lock this car with just 1 dollar now?” It showed that I only pay 1 dollar as a booking fee and the rest will be charged automatically before the rental starts. I thought about it for a bit. They work with the rental company and I really did not want my card limit to drop a lot right away, so I chose this plan. My phone buzzed, I checked my bill and it was really only 1 dollar taken. I felt relaxed right away and it felt like my booking was safe. A few days later I was working on my whole trip. Flight and hotel already cost a lot. If the full rental fee was charged at the start my card limit would feel very tight. With this setup it only used 1 dollar first and the full amount would be charged closer to my start date. I could still use my card for other business costs and the pressure was not so high. I even told my colleague “This way is pretty nice for business travel, cash flow feels more flexible.” When it was close to my trip I got a payment notice. The amount was the same as the price I saw before and there were no strange extra fees. I did not need to go in and pay again by myself. I just went to Bangkok and then to DRIVE CAR RENTAL to pick up the BYD Seal 05DM-i at the time I booked. For me the whole flow was really simple. First I used 1 dollar to hold the car then when the trip was near the rest of the money was charged by itself. From this experience what stayed in my mind was not only the car but this way of booking with just 1 dollar at the start. It really made the pressure on my credit card much lower. I travel for work quite often and my schedule can change. It feels safe to lock in a car early without paying the full amount right away. For me this One-Dollar Freeze payment plan is a strong reason to use QEEQ again in the future.

One-Dollar Freeze

I wanted to complain first about booking cars because as a business traveler I always feel annoyed about big prepayments and my credit card limit getting blocked. Every trip is like this. Some websites want a big amount right away and I feel stressed every time. For this Thailand Phuket trip I needed a car for quite a long time from around the afternoon of March 10 to about April 2 and I already knew it would not be cheap so I was not happy about paying everything so early. Then I saw an option on QEEQ called One-Dollar Freeze. At first I thought it was just a marketing trick. I did not really believe it. But I also did not want to pay the full amount in one go so I clicked it and read the short description. It said I only need to pay 1 dollar first to secure the booking and the rest will be charged automatically before the rental starts and there is no interest. After I saw the part about no interest I felt it was worth a try. That day I chose a car in Phuket with a local company. The car was a Nissan Almera with automatic gear four doors and five seats. It is a simple and good car for business trips. My schedule was still moving a bit. The flight time might change a little. My company might also adjust the plan. In my head I was thinking if I pay a big amount now and something changes later then I must cancel or change and deal with refunds and more emails. That sounds tiring. With this 1 dollar way I felt my mind was lighter. It was like I only put a small placeholder first. When I clicked confirm I was still a bit nervous. I thought maybe the page would add more fees at the end. But on the payment page I only saw that 1 dollar. I even checked my credit card later and saw they really only took that small amount. As someone who travels for work all the time this felt very different. I did not feel that heavy hit on my card at the start of the trip. Some days before the pickup time in Phuket around March 11 I noticed that the rest of the rental fee was taken from my card. By that time the trip plan was fixed. Meetings were confirmed and my flights were clear. I felt that timing was very reasonable. Paying close to the start of the rental made more sense for me and it did not give me extra stress. Before this I often had this problem. I paid a large amount for a car then a few days later my company changed the schedule or I found a better option and I had to cancel or change. This cost time and also made my monthly cash flow tight. With this 1 dollar freeze I got a buffer. I could lock in the car and the plan first and then let the payment come later when things were stable. For a business traveler this rhythm feels much better. When I was planning the Phuket trip I also had to think about flights hotels and other transport. All of this together is a lot of money. If I also push the full rental fee onto my card very early I might hit my limit because my company had other project costs at the same time. Since I only paid 1 dollar at the start I still had free space on my card for other payments in those weeks. I did not have to keep checking my limit every day. The no interest part is also very important to me. It feels clean and simple. It is not a loan and not a tricky installment plan. It is just a different timing for the charge. I do not have to think about extra costs or small hidden fees. I just know they will charge me the normal amount a bit later and that is it. This made me more relaxed during the planning. When I finally arrived at Phuket airport and went to the rental counter to pick up the Nissan I was no longer thinking about the payment at all. The money question felt very natural and already done. That is a big difference from my past trips. Before I always had that heavy feeling from the big prepayment sitting in my mind from the very beginning. As a business traveler I care a lot about small details like this. My trip schedule is often complex. Flights change. Meetings move. There are already so many things to handle. If even the car rental payment can be easy and light it really helps me. It means I can spend my energy on work and not on money timing problems. Using One-Dollar Freeze on this booking made car rental feel less heavy for me. I could plan first and pay later instead of getting locked by a big payment on day one. For someone who travels for work often this small feeling of freedom is quite important. It also gives me a better impression of QEEQ and makes me more willing to book with them again for my next business trips.

AXA Full Coverage

I booked my car in Bangkok through QEEQ and I thought it would just be a normal rental. Around March 23 at noon I picked up a Toyota Yaris Ativ in Bangkok. The car was fine and easy to drive. I also bought AXA Full Coverage at that time. I only thought it was an extra safety net and I did not expect I would really need it. Around the night of March 26 I was driving in the city. There was a part of the road with very weak street lights. I did not see something sharp near the side of the road. I drove over it and the car shook. I stopped and checked. The tire was badly cut and could not be used anymore. I felt a bit shocked. I was in a foreign country I did not know the roads well and I also worried that the tire would cost a lot of money. I called the rental company first. They came and helped deal with the car problem but they soon told me I had to pay for the tire myself. The cost was about 3000 THB. When I paid with my card my heart really hurt a bit and I kept thinking if the AXA Full Coverage I bought would help or not. After I went back to my place I calmed down and took photos of the receipt and the tire for records. Then I remembered that AXA Full Coverage includes tires so I contacted customer service. I told them what happened that my tire was damaged during my Bangkok rental and I already paid 3000 THB and I asked if I could get a claim. They said they could help me apply and asked me to send my passport page my credit card charge record and the photos of the damage. I was still moving around the city these days but I found some time to put everything together and send it to them. After a while customer service reached out again and said the claim was being handled. They asked me which currency I wanted for the payout. I did the math and confirmed the amount they told me which matched 82.13 THB in their calculation so it basically covered my tire cost. Later they told me the claim was approved and I just needed to wait for the money. At that moment I really felt relieved and all my worries were gone. This experience showed me that AXA Full Coverage is really important when driving abroad. I was very nervous when the tire problem first happened but when I saw that I could get the tire money back I felt really taken care of and I felt much more at ease for the rest of my time in Bangkok.

Price Drop Protector

That night I was sitting at the table and my kid was playing on the tablet. I was planning our Bangkok trip for next year and checking car prices on QEEQ at the same time. With a child, I really want to control the budget or it is hard to enjoy food and fun later. I saw a Toyota Yaris Ativ with automatic gear and five seats. It looked just right for our family so I booked it. The price was okay for me. I thought it was fine and I just wanted a simple trip with my kid. A few days later I opened my email like usual to see if there was any news. I saw a mail about my booking and I felt a bit nervous. In my head I said maybe something went wrong. When I opened it I felt relaxed right away and also a bit excited. The mail said my order used Price Drop Protector. The price for the same car went down later so they rebooked it for me with the new lower price and sent the difference back to me. I stared at the screen for a moment. Then I checked the order again and saw that I saved more than one thousand RMB. My brain started to work fast. With this money I could take my kid to one more place to play in Bangkok or eat a few better meals. I thought it was just a normal car booking but it became like I earned extra money. It really felt like finding money on the ground. What I liked is that I did not need to do anything. I did not have to watch the price every day or change the booking by myself. When the price went down they just fixed it for me and the extra money came back. I only made a normal booking and later I suddenly had a bigger budget. As a parent traveling with a child I quickly started to think how to use this money for my kid. When I look back now the car itself is fine but the thing I remember most is this Price Drop Protector. It feels like a small helper that watches the price for me in the background. I just live my life and take care of my kid. When I checked our trip budget again before we go I found it was better than I planned at first. For a family that needs to think carefully about every cost this feels very helpful.

Price Drop Protector

I was standing in the car pickup area in Bangkok airport at night and the Nissan Almera was parked under the bright lights. In that moment I suddenly remembered that I had already saved some money before I even came here. I did nothing extra and still got some money back. I smiled to myself and thought this booking from QEEQ was kind of cool. The first time I booked the car was a few months earlier. I planned to stay in Thailand alone for more than a month. I wanted to pick up the car around the evening of May 27 in Bangkok and return it around June 30. The rental period was pretty long so I worried it would be too expensive. I did not really know how to hunt for the best deal. I just chose a price I could accept and placed the booking. In my head I said to myself that it was already a lot of money. Some days later I saw a new confirmation email. My first reaction was that I maybe clicked something wrong and booked again. I was scared and thought I would be charged twice. Then I looked closer and saw that when I booked I had picked a service called Price Drop Protector. The price went down and they made a new booking for me and gave me the price difference back. The email said I saved around thirty dollars. I just stared at the screen for a second and then I started to feel excited. For someone traveling alone like me that amount is a lot. It can pay for many street food meals. I kept thinking that without this service I would never know the price went down. I also do not have time to check prices every day. During that time I was even thinking if I should book one more night in a hostel bed. Then this extra money just appeared for me. In my mind it felt like someone was watching the price for me in the background. I cannot see what they did but for me there was only one clear thing. The total cost quietly became cheaper. Later when I arrived in Bangkok and pushed my suitcase to the DRIVE CAR RENTAL counter everything in the order looked normal and the staff gave me the car model I chose. I finally relaxed. I counted that thirty plus dollars in my head again. I felt that this trip started easier for me than I expected. For a student traveling alone, saving money without any extra work feels really nice.
