Dedicated customer service

At first I felt kind of mixed about my booking with QEEQ. The car itself was fine. I picked it up around noon on March thirtieth in San Juan. It was a Hyundai Kona with automatic transmission and it drove well. But when I came back to San Juan and dropped it off in the afternoon on April eighth, my credit card later showed an extra charge of more than one hundred seventy euros. That really confused me. I travel for business, so every cost has to match my reports. A random charge like that is very annoying. I first asked the staff at the rental counter. Their answer was very unclear. They mentioned some cleaning fee and a toll admin fee, but they could not explain exactly what part was what and they did not give me a proper breakdown. I remember thinking that if I had to fight with the rental company by myself, it would take a lot of time. So I reached out to the customer service team and I was surprised that they kept following my case. It was not just one or two replies and then silence. I was busy with work and some days passed, but they still came back to me with updates. They told me when the rental company gave new explanations and if there was any new detail about the charge. One time they told me the rental company said I had added extra insurance at the counter and some toll service, and there was also a cleaning related fee. I was not very happy about that, because when I returned the car it was pretty clean. Of course it was not perfect like a new car, but it was not dirty enough to need a special cleaning fee. What made me feel better was that the team did not just stand on the rental company’s side. They kept asking more questions for me and pushed for a clearer breakdown and proof of the car condition. My English is fine, but arguing over many small terms and numbers takes a lot of energy. Having someone keep an eye on it for me made a big difference for a business traveler like me. The whole process was not super fast, but I could feel that one person was always looking after my case. When something was not clear, they went back to ask and then explained it to me in simple words. I am not the type who writes good reviews all the time, but this kind of dedicated follow up really took a lot of pressure off me. I did not have to deal with the rental company alone and I could focus on my work instead. For business trips, this feeling of being cared for and having things explained clearly turned out to be more important than I expected.

Dedicated customer service

I was really upset at first and also a little lost. I booked my car through QEEQ and I thought everything would be simple. But my trip to San Juan turned into a long story about money and problems. The strange part is that the thing I remember most is not the car. It is how someone kept following my case. I picked up the car around the end of March that week. I only drove it for about one day and then I gave it back. The day I went to the rental counter I was already tired. The air inside was cold but my head felt hot. The staff kept looking at their computer and then at me. They asked for my confirmation number again and again. They said they could not find my booking. My phone signal was bad and there was no WiFi. I stood there scrolling my email like crazy and kept asking myself what is going on. I showed them every piece of information I had. My name my dates everything. I felt like I was taking a test and they were checking every answer. They finally gave me the car. When I later looked at the contract and saw an extra charge of more than one hundred dollars I felt shocked. I have my own insurance and I never asked for more stuff. The number on the paper made me feel sick. The car was not in good shape either. The inside was dirty and it had a strong smell. I just wanted to return it as soon as I could. I kept thinking who will help me with this. I started a dispute with my credit card company but I was worried they might not help and then I would have to pay for everything. So I contacted their customer support and told them about the extra charges and how I only used the car for about one day. They did not talk to me like a robot. They first asked what I was most worried about. I said I was scared that nothing would be solved at the end. They told me to take it step by step. I sent them videos and photos of the car and also my payment records. I thought they might just forget me after that. They did not. Every few days they reached out and told me what was going on. They said they were still waiting for the rental company and told me not to stress too much. One day I had just finished class and was standing in the parking lot when they called. The wind was loud in my ears. On the phone the person went through each extra fee with me and said they would keep pushing the case. I felt a bit lighter in that moment. It did not feel like I was fighting this alone anymore. Even though the final result was not exactly what I wanted they explained where every fee came from and how far the dispute went. My anger got smaller over time. When I look back at those days from standing at the counter waiting while they could not find my booking to seeing the extra charge and then later getting calls and messages from someone who kept checking on me I remember one clear feeling. My problem mattered to them. That feeling of someone staying with the case and not forgetting about me was more important to me than just hearing a quick sorry.

One-Dollar Freeze

I want to say first that I was actually pretty happy with this booking experience with QEEQ and I liked the One-Dollar Freeze payment a lot. When I think of driving around San Juan now my mood feels very relaxed and when I paid for the booking I did not feel that my credit card limit was suddenly under big pressure. I traveled to San Juan in Puerto Rico alone. Around three weeks before the trip I started to look for a car online. My flight ticket was already booked and the car was the last thing I needed. On other sites many rentals wanted a big payment at once or a big hold on the card. My credit card limit was not that high and I still needed it for other things so I felt a bit worried. Then I found this site and I saw a car with Europcar. A small car like a Toyota Yaris group looked good for one person. I remember I saw the text about One-Dollar Freeze. It said I only needed to pay 1 dollar first to lock the booking. The rest of the money would be taken before the rental starts and there was no interest. I thought this plan was really friendly for me because my card limit would not be blocked by a big amount right away. That night I checked the booking details many times. The pickup city was San Juan in Puerto Rico and I planned to pick up the car around noon on February 10 so I would have time after landing and getting my bag before going to the counter. It showed Europcar and a car type like Toyota Yaris with automatic gear and four doors and five seats. For just me and my luggage this was more than enough. I told myself I would just pay 1 dollar now to lock the car and then I could arrange other costs slowly. When I clicked pay and saw that they really only charged 1 dollar I felt much less stress. I was even doing the math in my head. With this I did not need to pay the full amount now so my card still had space in case I needed it. For a solo traveler small things like this matter because it makes your mind more calm. A few days later I logged in again and checked the booking. The status showed confirmed. I felt even more relaxed and I started to imagine myself landing in San Juan and walking to the Europcar counter and just showing the booking number to the staff there. During that time I was still planning my days and checking places to visit but about the car I did not worry much anymore because the 1 dollar already held the car for me. When it got close to the trip the rest of the payment was going to be taken before the rental start. I was a bit curious so I watched my credit card bill. The money was charged as normal but it still felt easy for me because I did not feel that hard hit at the beginning. When I think about other platforms I used before where they take everything at once or freeze a lot of money this time felt much better. In the last week before my flight I sometimes worried if there could be any problem with the booking at the rental desk. So I checked the details again. Pickup was around noon on February 10 in San Juan and return was a few days later also around noon in San Juan. The information looked clear and I did not see any strange extra fees so I felt their process was simple enough for me. On the morning before my trip I looked at my card again to be sure there were no extra charges. There were no extra small fees and nothing like interest. I am always scared of hidden text or small rules that say they will charge more but this time I did not see anything like that. It was just the normal rental amount taken before the start. For me the whole booking felt smooth. The most important thing was that One-Dollar Freeze made the decision very easy. Since I only paid 1 dollar first I could lock the car and still keep my budget flexible. For someone traveling alone this kind of freedom in money planning is very helpful. My biggest feeling from using this payment way is that my credit card pressure stayed low and I did not have to fight with a huge charge on day one. When I stood in San Juan airport and walked toward the Europcar counter I remembered that I had booked the car with just 1 dollar at the start and I thought it was pretty cool. I still feel like a student in many ways and my budget is not super high so a setup like this really fits me well.
