Price Drop Protector

I have to say this first. I did not expect that a small price change on a rental car would make me this happy. I booked the car on QEEQ. At the start I just wanted something easy. The thing that stayed in my mind later was their Price Drop Protector. The funny part is that I did nothing and my order price still went down. I felt like I saved money for free. I travel alone a lot. This time I planned to go to Zagreb in Croatia in early September and pick up a car there. I wanted to drive around for a few days and then return the car in Zagreb again. I remember sitting at home one day planning my trip. The sky outside was gray and my phone was full of messages on the table. I had booked the car a few months earlier. It was a Volkswagen Taigo with manual gear and four doors with five seats. I thought it was good for one person and some bags. The price looked okay when I booked it and I did a quick budget in my head. Some time later I was using my laptop and checking other things. I saw a new email about my order. I thought it was just some normal notice. When I opened it I saw it was about a price change. It said that for my booking they found a lower price and they had made a new booking for me and would send the price difference back to me. I just stared at the screen for a few seconds. My first thought was that maybe I clicked something wrong or that it was another kind of ad. Then I checked the order number and the car and the time. It was clearly my Zagreb booking. Same car. Same dates. Only the price was around ten euros less. I tried to think what I had done. I had not changed any dates. I had not touched the booking page. The only thing I remembered was that when I booked the car, I saw the text about Price Drop Protector. It said that if the price went down they would give me the difference. I read it one time and moved on. I thought this kind of thing would never happen to me. This time it did. At that time I was planning my driving route. I wanted to pick up the car in Zagreb and drive around the area and then drive back and return the car in the city. I had the times saved on my phone. In my plan I would pick up the car around ten in the morning on September sixth and return it around seven in the evening on September fifteenth. My schedule was tight. I was worried more about road conditions and weather and if I would need to wait at the rental counter. I did not expect that they would help me on the money side like this. That ten euros or so may not sound like a lot. For a solo traveler like me it can be one day of food or a couple of bus rides and a coffee. The feeling in my head was a bit strange and nice. On one side I felt that I got lucky. On the other side I felt like someone was watching my budget for me so I did not need to keep checking prices again and again. The best part for me was that I did not have to do anything. I did not change my dates. I did not cancel and book again. I did not get forced to switch to another car. It was still the same Volkswagen Taigo and the same pick up and return place in Zagreb. Only the price dropped a bit quietly. It felt like someone walked up to me and said that the extra money I paid before had been found and returned. I thought about my past orders on other sites. Many times I bought something and the price changed the next day. Then I had to talk to customer support and send screenshots and explain everything. In the end it was never sure if I would get any money back. This time they handled it for me and I did not even need to say a word. It felt much easier. Later I learned that this was exactly what Price Drop Protector is doing. It keeps checking the price and helps me when the price goes down. At first I was worried that this kind of service would just look good in words and do nothing in real life. This small story proved that it was real. I even checked the order line by line to make sure it was not some trick where they raise and then lower the price. The total cost really was lower than when I first booked it. That night I told my friend about it on a video call. He laughed and said I basically got a free beer and a simple meal out of it. I was sitting by the window and it was quiet outside. I felt that this Croatia trip had a pretty good start. For someone like me who travels alone a lot it is not always about a huge discount. It is more about feeling that someone is really trying to help you save. Price Drop Protector feels like there is a person watching that bill for me so I do not find out too late that I paid too much. When I look back at the whole thing it is actually very simple. I booked the car months before through them and then went back to my normal life. When September sixth came I just needed to show up at the rental counter in Zagreb in the morning. Then I would drive around and return the car in the evening on September fifteenth. The small money saving moment in the middle took some pressure off my trip without me even noticing at first. As a solo traveler this kind of small thing stays in my memory for a long time.

One-Dollar Freeze

On the day I dropped the car in Dubrovnik I felt pretty relaxed. My biggest stress was not driving. It was how to book the car in the first place. I am only twenty. A student from France. I did not have much money. I already paid for flights and rooms. My card balance made me a bit scared. When I saw the Toyota Yaris automatic on QEEQ I really wanted it. But I kept thinking about paying a big amount at once. My card would be almost empty. Then I saw something called One-Dollar Freeze. It said I could pay only 1 dollar now to lock the car and pay the rest before the rental started. I felt this was perfect for a student like me so I tried it. They only took that 1 dollar. I got the bank message and I read it twice. I wanted to be sure the number was right. After that I had time to save more money. My mind felt lighter. I did not need to throw all my money out on day one. Close to the start of the rental they took the rest of the payment from my card. I saw the charge on my phone. I was ready for it so I did not feel any stress. My trip was fixed already and the money felt well used. When I arrived in Split I went to the Enterprise counter with my booking. I saw the small car and felt proud that I planned everything early. At the same time I did not feel any debt or heavy pressure from my card. For someone young like me this way of booking with just 1 dollar first made the whole thing very simple. And there was no interest at all. That part matters a lot to me.

Dedicated customer service

At the start I felt pretty relaxed about this rental. I booked the car on QEEQ and I just wanted to drive from Zagreb to Budapest like a small graduation trip. On that early April day my pickup time was around one in the afternoon. Spring in Zagreb was a bit cold but the sun felt nice. I stood at the Europcar counter with my luggage and I was kind of excited. When the staff gave me the key they talked about insurance. Their English had an accent and I was a bit nervous. I did not fully understand everything. I kept saying that I already bought insurance online. Then they talked about upgrade and extra cover. I only wanted to hit the road fast so I signed several papers without thinking too much. The real trouble came later after I returned the car in Budapest. Around the twentieth of April I dropped the car at Budapest airport also in the early afternoon. I parked the Peugeot 208 took some photos and then rushed to catch my ride into the city. I was still thinking about the views on the way and I did not expect any problem with money. A few days later I saw a new charge in my account. There was an extra insurance fee of around 1900 Australian dollars. I was shocked and froze for a few seconds. I had already planned my budget and checked my insurance before the trip. This huge extra amount felt like a big hit for a student who travels alone. First I thought maybe I made some mistake. I went through my emails and contracts again and again. The more I checked the more nervous I felt. At that moment I reached out to their customer support. At first I did not expect much. I thought it would be very complicated. The person who answered me spoke in a very calm way and asked me about my situation step by step. I sent photos of my bill my contract and the papers I signed at the counter. I explained that I drove from Croatia to Hungary and there was no accident or damage. It was just normal use of the car. They listened and said they would help me check with Europcar about this insurance charge. During those days I checked my bank account every day and my head hurt every time I saw that 1900 number. The support person kept sending me messages from time to time. They asked if I received any new email and if I had more photos from the counter. It made me feel like someone stayed on this problem with me and did not just leave me alone. I also went back to ask the Europcar counter staff. Their answer was that the fee was for an upgrade and extra insurance and they said I agreed so they charged me. I still felt it was not fair. I never knew it would cost so much. I only remembered that day the line was long I was in a hurry and the staff spoke fast and mixed many topics. I just signed in a rush. The good thing is they kept helping me talk to the rental company. I could feel they were trying to make the story clear for me. They checked that I had already bought another insurance before pickup and that at the counter no one clearly told me the real cost of this upgrade. They also helped me read the bill and understand which item was this fee. I did not see the full process between them and the rental company but I could feel that someone was always pushing this case forward. When you travel alone the worst thing is a sudden big cost that you do not understand. During that time I still had classes and homework and I also had to explain the situation many times. Without this kind of follow up I might have given up. Now when I look back if it was just me talking to the rental desk by myself it would be very hard to explain everything because of language and information gaps. This time there was a dedicated person staying with my case and I felt more safe. At least I was not just staring at that 1900 dollar charge all by myself. For a solo student traveler with a tight budget this kind of care really matters.

Price Drop Protector

I was complaining to my coworker first. I said the rental car price for my business trip to Zagreb was too high. I had already booked the car on QEEQ and I thought it was done. I did not want to waste time to compare more prices because my schedule was busy. Some days later I was working on my company budget. I joked to my coworker and said I wish this car could be a bit cheaper. Then I saw the same car in Zagreb was now a little cheaper than when I booked it. I started to think if I should cancel and book again. I did not want trouble and I did not want to risk my trip. When I opened my booking again I saw they had already changed it to the cheaper one. It was still the Seat Arona in Zagreb but the price was lower. I was confused and I said to myself why is the total less now. Then I looked carefully and I remembered I had chosen Price Drop Protector. I did not do anything and the system already saved the difference for me. For a business traveler the budget is important. I checked and the money they saved for me was like one more meal. The record was very clear and I could see I paid less. I was really surprised because I thought this kind of service was just a slogan. It actually worked and it auto rebooked for me and sent the price difference back, so my Zagreb rental cost felt lighter.

Price Drop Protector

I will start with the result. For my car booking in Zagreb Croatia I got extra money back before my trip even started. One morning I woke up and saw a bank message about a charge and I was still half asleep. I thought to myself hey did I pay twice or what. Then I opened my email and saw it was from QEEQ and it was about Price Drop Protector. Before that I only chose it because I was going to Zagreb alone in June and I wanted to save some money if I could. I booked an automatic Opel Astra with GREEN MOTION. My pick up time was around the evening of June 17 and return was around the evening of July 1. In my head I just wanted a car that was easy to drive and not too expensive. The real surprise came after I booked. One day I checked my email and saw a message from them saying the same car was now cheaper. They already changed my booking to a new cheaper one. I kind of said out loud to my phone wait really you are giving me money back. The price difference was more than twenty dollars. For a solo traveler like me that means one or two more simple meals in a local restaurant. I did not click anything extra and I did not talk to the car rental counter or to customer service to ask for a discount. The system just helped me rebook and sent the difference back. The email was very clear. The new order was confirmed and the car group stayed the same. I was worried for a moment that maybe there would be no car or that I had to confirm many things again but I did not need to do anything. I just looked at my phone and watched the old price turn into a lower price and I felt really happy inside. The funny thing is I was still at home planning my trip. I had not finished my map and I already saved money. I even told my friend I have not reached Zagreb yet but the money has already come back to me first. She asked me how I did that. I explained in simple words that when I booked on QEEQ I chose Price Drop Protector and then they watched the price for me. When the price went down they rebooked it and sent me the difference. For someone like me who likes to count small costs but also hates trouble this experience was pretty nice. I did not think about any complex rules. I just saw that the money came back and the car was still there and I felt it was a good deal.

Price Drop Protector

I first want to say how it felt. I woke up one morning and saw a new email. It said my car rental in Zagreb was now cheaper and they had already made a new booking for me and gave me the price difference back. At first I was confused. I read it again and then I remembered that when I booked I chose the Price Drop Protector. When I clicked it that day I did not really expect it to work. I just thought it does not need any extra work from me so I might as well turn it on. Now my new order is still to pick up and drop off the car in Zagreb in Croatia. It is still a Seat Arona with automatic gear. The time just moved by about one day so it is still in the evening around seven to get the car and also to return it. My plan did not change at all. The only change is that the price is lower and the difference is actually quite clear. The best part is that I did nothing in the middle. I did not check prices or compare websites. They found a lower price by themselves and fixed everything for me. I just opened my phone checked the new details and then I did some simple math in my head. This extra money feels like a small new budget that I can use for something else. For me as a solo traveler this kind of automatic money saving makes me feel calm. It feels like booking on QEEQ this time made me earn a bit without doing any work.
