Who would not feel stressed when a big part of the deposit is suddenly charged from your card? I booked my car with QEEQ and rented a Cupra Formentor from Budget in Florence. It was around early June. I picked up the car in the morning and returned it the next night. At first everything was fine and I enjoyed driving the car. The real problem came later. When I got back home I saw a charge of a bit more than three hundred euro on my card. The rental desk only said there was some damage. They said the windshield had a small dent. I did not get a clear damage report and I did not really understand what happened to the deposit I paid. I felt confused and also a bit angry. My biggest worry was that I was paying a lot of money for something I did not understand. I reached out to their customer support and told them the deposit amount and what I knew so far. One thing that made me calm was that the person handling my case stayed the same the whole time. I felt like he was dedicated to my problem. Every time I had new questions it was still him talking to me. I did not need to explain my story again and again. This is really important for someone traveling abroad like me. The support side helped ask the rental company what exactly they charged. They checked which part was for an extra driver and which part was real damage cost. Then he explained all that in simple words for me so I could understand. He told me which amount was for fixing the glass and which amount was other fees. There were some moments when the progress felt slow. I got a bit nervous and worried that it would take too long and mess up my budget. He kept giving me small updates so I knew where we were and I did not feel forgotten. I felt like I was a real person to them and not just a random order number. Later the rental company finally sent a clear receipt. The small dent on the windshield was listed as damage cost. The support agent sent everything to me and showed me step by step how to start the claim for the damage. He did not leave me alone to figure it out. He followed from explaining the fees to telling me what to do in the claim process. The damage itself was annoying for me but having this kind of dedicated customer service made the whole thing feel much more under control.
