"You only pay one dollar first." When I saw this line I was a bit surprised. I booked my car on QEEQ because I planned to travel alone to Newark. I chose a mystery car from Dollar. It was automatic and two doors. I felt it was good for me. My pickup time was around early morning on June 17 around seven. I imagined myself walking into the airport rental area with my luggage and I wanted this trip to feel light. I did not want a big amount stuck on my credit card at the start. I chose the One-Dollar Freeze service. When I placed the order the page showed they would charge 1 dollar. I looked at the bill and it was really just one dollar taken from my card. The rest of the money would be charged automatically before the rental started. I felt a little nervous but also felt it was very easy. I did not need to lock a big amount at one time. A few days before my trip I sometimes opened my credit card app to check my limit. Everything looked normal. I did not see a big charge that would give me pressure. On the morning of June 17 I arrived at Newark and went to the Dollar counter to do the paperwork. I showed my confirmation to the staff. His system found my booking very fast. In my mind I guessed the full payment was already handled before. For me the feeling was just very light. The booking did not feel heavy at all at the start. The staff gave me the key. I sat in the two door car. The inside was pretty clean and the automatic gear was easy to drive. I went over my budget in my head and felt that this booking did not make my credit card feel tight. On June 29 I drove back to Newark to get ready to return the car. The day before the noon drop off on the 30th I filled the tank and cleaned the car a bit. I parked in the return area and the staff checked the car and said it was fine. I stood there in the parking lot and looked at the payment records in my phone. I felt this way of paying only one dollar first and then the rest later was very friendly for someone traveling alone like me. During the time after I booked the car I did not worry too much about my credit card balance. I just needed to remember the payment would be charged automatically before the rental. For me the whole booking experience felt simple and with low pressure.
