Why did I suddenly have extra money for my trip? It started when I booked a car on QEEQ. I first booked a car for Larnaca in Cyprus. I planned to pick it up near the airport on May 17 in the early afternoon and return it a few days later. I checked my budget and thought this was the final price. Then I got an email that said I had chosen the Price Drop Protector service and they found a lower price for the same car. Could the price really drop just like that? I was not very sure at first. When I opened the details I saw my old order number was changed to a new one. The car was still a Nissan Qashqai from GREEN MOTION. It was still automatic with five doors and five seats. The infant seat and child safety seat were still there. The dates were still around the same days. Only the total cost was lower by a bit more than thirty euros. How did the refund feel to me? I just checked my credit card bill one day and saw that the final charge was less than what I remembered. Then I realized they had already rebooked it for me at the cheaper price. I did not do anything extra. I just followed my plan and went to Larnaca to pick up the car on May 22 in the afternoon and then returned it on May 24 in the afternoon. Everything was smooth. The staff at the counter only looked at the order and did not ask me about any price change or rebook. The whole thing felt very natural. I felt like I earned money for nothing. That thirty plus euros turned into snacks and water from the supermarket. For me as a student who always worries about paying too much this feeling of saving money is very real.
