First I want to complain a bit because it feels unreal. I am just a student and I locked a car in Bangkok with only 1 dollar. At the start I did not really trust it. I kept asking myself if they would charge some extra money later or add some strange interest. I planned to pick up the car in Bangkok on February 7 around 11 pm and return it about a week later on February 15 at night. For so many rental days the full price on my credit card would be a lot. I always have to think about the bill date and payback date. When I saw the One-Dollar Freeze option it said I only need to pay 1 dollar first to make the booking. My first thought was to just take it. After I paid that 1 dollar I was still a bit nervous. In my head I kept asking if it was really that simple. I was worried the booking might fail or the rental counter might say the payment was not done. A few days before the trip I saw that the rest of the money was taken automatically. I did not click any strange button and there was no extra charge. When I checked my card bill I felt so relaxed. My credit card did not feel so heavy anymore because I did not pay a big amount at the start. This time I booked a local company in Bangkok and the car was a Haval Jolion with automatic gear and four doors and five seats. It is good for going out with friends. If I had to pay the full price at once like before I would need to cut other spending and worry that my card limit is not enough. Now I just pay that first 1 dollar and let the rest go step by step so I can plan my trip with a light mind. For someone like me who is still in school and only makes some part time money One-Dollar Freeze feels very friendly. The booking moment is not scary and my credit card does not get hit hard. The whole booking process feels easy. This experience makes me think QEEQ really understands the pressure of young people.
