My biggest problem at the start was I could not pay all the money at once. I planned to go to Dublin in Ireland in the middle of June and I wanted to rent a small car like a Ford Fiesta to drive in the city. But my credit card limit was a bit tight. It said I only needed to pay 1 dollar first to lock the car and the rest would be taken automatically before the pick up date. I felt much more relaxed when I saw that. That day I used my phone and chose a Budget car. It was automatic with four doors and five seats. When I pressed confirm I was still worried. I was afraid there would be some hidden payment step. On the payment page it really only charged 1 dollar. When I saw the bill I refreshed the screen a few times. My card only showed that small amount. For a student like me it felt really good. The pressure on my credit card became much lower. Then we jump to one or two days before my trip. On the plane I was thinking maybe the desk staff would say I did not pay. When I arrived at Dublin and found the Budget counter I showed my voucher to the staff. He checked in the system and nodded and said the full payment was already received. I checked my phone again and looked at my credit card record. The rest of the money was taken automatically before I flew out. There was no strange extra fee and no interest. I was a bit surprised because other platforms I used before always had some extra charge when I did a payment plan. When I went to the parking lot to get the car I looked at the small white car and I thought it was kind of cool that I could hold it with only 1 dollar at the start. If I had to pay all the money at once in the beginning I might think a long time or even delay the booking. This way I could book fast and I did not need to worry every day about if the money was paid. I just checked my credit card sometimes. For someone like me who comes from another country and also has to pay for flight and hotel this way of paying a little first and then letting the rest go automatically felt really light and simple.
