My problem at the start was money. I was planning a trip in Morocco with my kids and I saw that renting a car could mean a big payment at once. I did not feel very safe about my credit card limit. The money would be charged before the start so I should not worry too much. Around one or two days before the trip I checked my credit card bill. I saw that the rest of the amount was already taken and it was the same price as the booking. No extra fee. I felt my heart relax and I thought my plan was still under control. When I reached Marrakesh on May 11 around noon with my kids and went to the rental counter the staff checked my information. I was still thinking in my head that if I did not have this 1 dollar option I might never book so fast. I would be afraid of that big prepayment and maybe I would cancel the plan. With this way the pressure was much lower. I could keep my money for family needs first and then adjust things slowly before the start. For me the main point is that my credit card did not feel so heavy. I did not need to block a big amount too early. As a parent with kids this small kind of flexibility is actually very helpful.
