The funny part is that two days before we needed the car in Inverness I suddenly remembered that I only paid 1 dollar when I booked it. What really made me like this payment way is that it did not put big pressure on my credit card at the start. I could keep more money for flights and things for my kid and let the rental fee be charged closer to the pick up day. For a parent like me this felt much easier to handle.
