It looked easy to drive in a city like Munich and good enough for me and a coworker. During booking my card was charged only 1 dollar. I even checked my bank app and saw that it was really just that small amount. The rest was not taken yet so my credit card pressure stayed low. When it got close to the pick up day I got a message that the remaining money was charged automatically. I did not need to remember any payment date and I did not worry that I might forget to pay and lose the booking. At the counter in Munich I just showed my voucher and my documents. The staff said the payment was already done and everything was fine. There were no strange extra charges. For someone like me who travels for business often this way of paying 1 dollar first and then letting the rest be charged later makes planning much easier. My card limit is not fully taken at once and the whole booking process feels very relaxed.
