Did you ever have this moment when you book something and then you see the same thing get cheaper a few days later. I was worried about this when I booked my car through QEEQ. I planned a trip to Goreme in Turkey. I wanted to pick up a small automatic car like an Opel Corsa from Nissa in the afternoon on May 17 and return it in the same town in the afternoon on May 21. When I paid in Japanese yen the price looked fine. But in my head I kept thinking what if the price goes down later. One night I was at home in Japan. I was just scrolling on my phone while looking at the lights outside the window. Then I saw a new email about my booking. My first thought was that the price went up. When I opened it I saw that because I had Price Drop Protector on my booking they found a cheaper price for the same type of car. The system already made a new booking for me with the lower price and they would refund the difference. It was more than ten thousand yen. I read the number twice to be sure I did not see it wrong. I felt a bit shocked. I did nothing special. I just booked like normal. And now I saved extra money for free. For a student this amount is pretty important. I already started to think about using it for more Turkish tea in Goreme or some small gifts to bring back to Japan. The best part for me was that nothing important changed. The pick up place was still in Goreme in the afternoon. The return time was still in the afternoon a few days later. The rental company was the same and the car group like the Opel Corsa automatic stayed the same. I did not need to call the rental counter or any customer service. From my side I only read one email and they handled the rest. Before this I always felt I had to watch prices all the time when I booked things. Now it feels like someone is watching the price for me in the background. When I think about the extra yen I saved with this price drop I still feel pretty happy.
