Finding the Car Rental Center
The great news is that Munich Airport has centralized all its car rental agencies into one convenient location, making it easy to find no matter which terminal you arrive in.
The Car Rental Center (or Mietwagenzentrum in German) is located in the Munich Airport Center (MAC). This is a large, central building situated directly between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
After you've collected your luggage and cleared customs, look for the overhead signs. You will want to follow the signs for "Car Rental / Mietwagenzentrum".
From Terminal 1: Exit the baggage claim area. The MAC is directly connected. Just follow the signs; it's a short indoor walk.
From Terminal 2: Exit the baggage claim area into the arrivals hall. You will walk across a large, partially open-air plaza (the MAC Forum) to get to the main MAC building directly opposite you. The signs are very clear and will guide you straight there.
The Car Rental Center is on Level 03 of the MAC building. You may need to take an escalator or elevator up from the arrivals level. You'll know you're in the right place when you enter a long, bright, open hall lined with the counters of all the major car rental companies.
